With the world's wild species declining at an estimated 1,000 times the natural rate, I advocate for planetary triage to navigate toward a livable planet. While the Earth suffers from many manmade bumps, bruises, and systemic infections—e.g. plastic, noise, and light pollution, the illegal wildlife trade, and even climate change—the planet is actively bleeding out through the loss of intact wild habitat, the number one driver of biodiversity loss.
My mission is to use what resources and skills I possess to support 1) the conservation of intact habitat, prioritizing areas of high endemism, intact areas under imminent threat, and Key Biodiversity Areas, 2) youth engagement in conservation solutions (did you know half the world is 31 or younger?), and 3) the research, documentation, and recovery of wild habitats globally.
